For the third year, students from New Haven's Cooperative Arts and Humanities Magnet High School spent their winter break on campus honing their musical abilities at the School of Music.
Called the "Winter Musical Immersion eXperience" (or Winter MIX), the program brought 11 singers and 17 instrumentalists from the city school to campus Feb. 15-18 for classes and rehearsals led by Yale graduate students, as well as presentations by faculty. The program, part of the School of Music's ongoing partnership with Coop High School, culminated in a joint concert with Yale musicians in Sprague Memorial Hall.
