Visiting professor to discuss
varying concepts of Europe

"The Campaign for the European Parliament: The Commission and Varying Conceptions of Europe" will be the subject of a lunch-time talk on Wednesday, April 28, by Tomas Ferenczi, deputy editor of Le Monde and a visiting professor at Yale.

Ferenczi's talk will take place at noon in Rm. 203 of Luce Hall, 34 Hillhouse Ave. The event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Yale Center for International and Area Studies. During his career as a journalist, editor and commentator, Ferenczi has specialized primarily on French politics. He has covered the presidencies of Valery Giscard d'Estaing and François Mitterand. He has been a regular contributor to the French Protestant weekly Réforme and had a monthly program on French public radio called "Le Rendez-vous des Politiques."

Ferenczi is currently a visiting professor in the political science department and for the Ethics, Politics and Economics major.
