Officials from the Union School of Public Health (USPH) in Beijing, China, visited the School of Medicine's department of epidemiology and public health (EPH) Oct. 31-Nov. 4 in order to learn more about the structure of American schools of public health so they develop an effective system at USPH. Part of the delegates' visit included a stop at the John B. Pierce Laboratory. Pictured at a meeting there are (from left) Dr. Wang Ruotao, assistant dean of USPH; Dr. Chen Chunming, former dean of USPH; Loretta Dipietro, a research scientist at EPH; and Lawrence E. Marks, director of the Pierce Laboratory and a professor of epidemiology and psychology.
