The School of Forestry & Environmental Studies is among the sponsors of "Building Energy 2000: Buildings, People and the Planet," a conference taking place March 15-18 on campus and at the Omni New Haven Hotel.
The Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) is the title sponsor of the event, which is bringing together participants from around the world to exchange the latest information on high-performance, green building and renewable energy technologies in forums, workshops and technical and plenary sessions.
While most of the events will take place at the Omni Hotel, all the workshops will be held on the Yale campus. The conference will also feature a Renewable and Green Building Exhibition and Trade Show.
NESEA is a nonprofit company promoting sustainable transportation, clean energy generation and quality building practices. Other sponsors of the event include the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund, the United Illuminating Company, the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, the New England Electric Service, ThermoRetech and Thermotech Windows Limited.
More information about the conference is available on the NESEA website at www.nesea.org.
