Senior Rob Doyle (Chicago, IL) was Yale's top finisher at the Northeast Regionals. He placed 13th with a time of 31:34.5


Women's Cross Country (2-0, 2-0 Ivy)

Last Week: Nov. 11 -- 2nd at NCAA District I Qualifier (56)

Next: Nov. 20 at NCAA Championships (Iowa State)

The Bulldogs qualified for the NCAA Championships for the first time since 1990 by finishing second at the Northeast Regionals.

Yale had four runners place in the top 12, led by sophomore Laura O'Neill (Milton, MA), who was fifth with a time of 20:45.8. Sophomore Kate O'Neill (Milton, MA) was sixth with a time of 20:46.7. Senior Katie Rigney (Carmel, CA) placed 10th in 20:58.6 and sophomore Lindsay Mitchell (Woodland Park, CO) was 12th in 21:02.4.


Men's Fencing (0-0, 0-0 Ivy)

Next: Nov. 30 vs. NYU, 7 p.m., Payne Whitney Gym

Sophomore Daniel Senft (Bonn, Germany) won the men's foil title at the Penn State Open. Freshman Peter Cellini (Chevy Chase, MD) was fourth.

In her first career meet, freshman Sada Jacobson (Atlanta, GA) won the women's sabre title at the Penn State Open. Freshman Zane Selkirk (New York, NY) finished third in the women's foil.


Field Hockey (3-14, 2-5 Ivy)

Season Complete

Senior Anne Rippetoe (Los Altos, CA) was named second team All-Ivy and second team NFHCA Division I Mideast Region All-America. Senior Liz Gardner (Winnisquam, NH) was an honorable mention All-Ivy selection.


Football (6-3, 3-3 Ivy)

Last Week: Nov. 11 -- Princeton 19, Yale 14

This Week: Nov. 18 at Harvard, 12:30 p.m.

Senior Eric Johnson (Needham, MA) caught his 21st career touchdown pass against Princeton, which is a new school record. It was his 12th TD reception of the season, which ties the school record. Johnson also broke the school record for receiving yards in a season.

Senior Rashad Bartholomew (Palos Verdes, CA) rushed for 116 yards and one touchdown against Princeton. He now needs 51 yards to become Yale's all-time leading rusher.


Men's Golf (0-0, 0-0 Ivy)

Last Week: Nov. 6-7 -- 15th at Desert Willow Invitational (923)

Fall Season Complete

Freshman Alex Fulton (Kingwood, TX) had Yale's best finish at the Desert Willow Invitational. He shot a three-round score of 224. It was the third time this fall that he was the Bulldogs' medalist.


Men's Ice Hockey (3-1, 1-1 ECAC)

Last Week: Nov. 7 -- Yale 4, Boston College 3

Nov. 10 -- St. Lawrence 4, Yale 3 ot

Nov. 11 -- Yale 5, Clarkson 4 ot

This Week: Nov. 17 at Dartmouth, 7 p.m.

Nov. 18 at Vermont, 7 p.m.

Sophomore Nick Deschenes (Morinville, ALB) scored the winning goal in overtime in the victory over Clarkson. Freshman Jeff Dwyer (New Canaan, CT) added his first collegiate goal.

Less than a week after knocking off the second-ranked team in the nation, the Bulldogs beat Boston College, ranked first. Junior Luke Earl (Simsbury, CT) scored the eventual game-winner early in the third period. At the time, it gave Yale a 4-1 lead.


Women's Ice Hockey (0-4, 0-4 ECAC)

Nov. 12 -- Dartmouth 6, Yale 0

This Week: Nov. 18 vs. Princeton, 3 p.m., Ingalls Rink

Nov. 19 at Princeton, 3 p.m.

Freshman Nicolette Franck (Burlington, ONT) made 38 saves against Dartmouth, which is ranked first in the nation.


Men's Soccer (9-7-1, 4-3-0 Ivy)

Last Week: Nov. 11 -- Yale 3, Princeton 1

Season Complete

Freshman Justin Burton (Somerset, NJ) scored all three goals in the win over Princeton and was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week.

Senior Matt Schmidt (Milwaukee, WI) had two assists against Princeton to give him 18 for his career, which ties for the fourth most in school history.

Senior Danny Moss (Arlington, VA) finished his career with 1.06 goals against average, the fourth best in school history.


Women's Soccer (9-7-1, 3-4-0 Ivy)

Season Complete

Sophomore Chandra King (Mission Viejo, CA) was named first team All-Ivy. Sophomore Ali Cobbett (Wallingford, CT) and junior Sara Ruiz (Davis, CA) earned honorable mention All-Ivy recognition.


Women's Swimming (1-0, 1-0 Ivy)

Last Week: Nov. 10 -- Yale 183, Columbia 117

This Week: Nov. 17 at Boston College, 4 p.m.

Sophomore Susan Cooke (Vero Beach, FL) was a triple winner in the victory over Columbia. She won the 200 breaststroke in 2:25.19, the 200 individual medley in 2:10.28 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.05.

Senior Shannon Dunlap (Mayfield Heights, OH) captured both diving events. She won the 1-meter diving with a score of 267.97 points and the 3-meter with a score of 254.02.


Men's Tennis (2-1, 0-0 Ivy)

Last Week: Nov. 4-7 at ITA Championships

Fall Season Complete

Sophomore Steve Berke (North Miami, FL) lost in the semifinals at the ITA Championships. The doubles team of Berke and freshman Dustin West (Lynchburg, VA) lost in the finals.

Fall Season Complete

The doubles team of junior Andrea Goldberg (Albuquerque, NM) and sophomore Elizabeth Kaufman (La Jolla, CA) lost in the quarterfinals of the ITA championships.
