Parking Service now offers online renewal forms

For the first time this spring, Yale staff members who park in University lots will be able to update their applications online.

On April 1, the Yale Parking Service will begin its annual parking system update by sending, via e-mail, a Personal Statement of Parking Information to individuals who park in lots on the Central Campus and Science Hill. Those without e-mail addresses will receive their statements at their homes in early April.

Parkers who require no changes to their information need only to review the statement for accuracy. If all of the information is correct, no response is necessary. Those who wish to make revisions or corrections, such as adding or deleting a vehicle, can now do so online. The April notification will include all the details and weblinks.

Individuals who have not received any information by April 15 should contact the Parking Service hotline at (203) 436-4374.

The Parking Service joins a growing number of Yale departments providing employee self-service web applications. The Department of Human Resource Services, for example, offers such self-service features as resumes, application and job-posting pages from the Placement Office and an online catalog and registration for courses offered by the Learning Center. Plans are also underway to create a self-service application for health and benefit programs during the fall "Open Enrollment" period.
