The Bulldogs had the top three finishers at the Fordham Invitational. Sophomore Kate O'Neill (Milton, MA) finished first in 18:01.2. Her twin sister Laura O'Neill (Milton, MA) was second (18:02.3) and sophomore Lindsay Mitchell (Woodland Park, CO) placed third (18:22.4).

Sept. 16 -- Princeton 3, Yale 0

This Week: Sept. 20 at Fairfield, 3:30 p.m.

Sept. 24 at Boston College 2 p.m.

Sophomore Suzanne Anthony (Oklahoma City, OK) scored Yale's only goal against Hofstra.

Freshman Krissy Nesburg (Oak Park, IL) had another strong week in goal. She made 10 saves against Hofstra and had 15 saves against 13th-ranked Princeton.


Football (1-0, 0-0 Ivy)

Last Week: Sept. 16 -- Yale 42, Dayton 6

This Week: Sept. 23 at Cornell, 2 p.m.

Yale became the first collegiate school to reach 800 wins with the victory over Dayton before a crowd of 20,903 at the Yale Bowl.

Senior Rashad Bartholomew (Palos Verdes, CA) was named the Walter Camp Football Foundation Player of the Game and the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week. He had a career-high 201 yards rushing and three touchdowns.

In his first career start at quarterback, junior Peter Lee (Chicago, IL) completed 19-of-23 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns.


Men's Golf (0-0, 0-0 Ivy)

Last Week: 6th at Yale Invitational (915)

This Week: Sept. 24-25 at Dartmouth Invitational

Freshman Alex Fulton (Kingwood, TX) was the Bulldogs' medalist at the Yale Invitational with a three-round score of 222, including a one-over-par 71 in the first round. He finished in a tie for third overall.


Women's Golf (0-0, 0-0 Ivy)

This Week: Sept. 23-24 Yale Invitational, Yale Golf Course

Junior Sarah Seo (Lima, OH) had Yale's top finish at the Dartmouth Invitational. She tied for fourth with a two-round score of 152.


Men's Soccer (2-2-0, 0-0-0 Ivy)

Last Week: Sept. 15 -- Yale 2, Bradley 1 ot (Yale-Fila Classic)

Sept. 17 -- Southwest Missouri 2, Yale 1 (Yale-Fila Classic)

This Week: Sept. 22 at Wisconsin-Milwaukee, 8 p.m.

Sept. 24 at Wisconsin, 2 p.m.

Senior Matt Schmidt (Milwaukee, WI) scored the winning goal on a penalty kick in the 111th minute in Yale's victory over 14th-ranked Bradley. Schmidt also assisted on Yale's goal against third-ranked Southwest Missouri State. For his efforts, Schmidt was named to the all-tournament team.

Sophomore Stuart Yingst (Grosse Pointe, MI) and freshman Geoff Hollington (Bellaire, TX) also were named to the all-tournament team. Yingst scored Yale's goal against Southwest Missouri, and Hollington made six saves against Bradley.

The game against Wisconsin-Milwaukee will be a homecoming for head coach Brian Tompkins. Prior to coming to Yale Tompkins was the head coach at Wisconsin-Milwaukee and compiled a 90-41-11 record in seven seasons.


Women's Soccer (3-2-1, 0-1-0 Ivy)

Sept. 16 -- Princeton 2, Yale 0

This Week: Sept. 20 at Rhode Island, 7:30 p.m.

Sept. 24 vs. Army, 1 p.m., Soccer-Lacrosse Stadium

Hartford was ranked 10th in the nation and was the first of four teams the Bulldogs will face that are currently ranked in the Top 20 in the NSCAA poll. Connecticut is No. 20. Harvard is 16th and Notre Dame is second in the nation.


Volleyball (3-2, 0-0 Ivy)

Sept. 16 -- Yale 3, Holy Cross 0; Yale 3, Marist 0

This Week: Rider Invitational

Sept. 22 -- at Rider, 5 p.m.

Sept. 23 vs. Lehigh, noon; vs. Long Island, 3 p.m.

Junior Vanessa Herald (Pasadena, CA) had 10 kills and nine digs in the victory over Holy Cross.

Against Marist, senior Aileen Daly (Syosset, NY) led the way with 29 assists and five digs. Junior Candace Green (Fort Washington, MD) added nine kills and seven digs.
