Elliott and Mallory Athletic Awards

Two yale seniors who represent "the highest ideals of sportsmanship and Yale tradition" were given athletic awards at the Senior Class Day exercises on May 20 by Athletic Director Tom Beckett. Meredith Bryarly The Nellie Pratt Elliot Award Meredith Bryarly is an Ivy League champion in three events and Yale record-holder in six. She is a two-time First-team All-Ivy performer and was voted Outstanding Swimmer in the Ivy League this year. Congratulations to Meredith Bryarly, the 2001 Nellie Elliot Award winner. Eric Johnson The William Neely Mallory Award Eric Johnson is the most prolific receiver in the history of Yale football. He has established 11 career receiving records and been named First-team All-Ivy the last two years. His two spectacular touchdown catches in each of the past two Harvard games were instrumental in leading the Bulldogs to victory. He is a First-team Academic All-American and will continue his pass catching magic in the NFL with the San Francisco Forty-Niners. Congratulations to Eric Johnson, the 2001 Mallory Award winner.
