Paul Jacobs, a student of the organ at the School of Music, has been granted the Arthur W. Foote award by the Harvard Musical Association.
The association, founded in 1837, recognizes outstanding young musicians as they embark on a performance career. The award carries a cash prize in return for a concert to be given in Boston. Jacobs, who will join the Juilliard faculty next year, shares the award with the Claremont Trio, a piano trio affiliated with Juilliard.
