Open house
The School of Architecture held a dedication ceremony on Sept. 19 for a house at 161 Porter St. in New Haven that was designed and built by students in the First Year
Building Project. The "client" for the 1,500-square-foot building in the West River neighborhood was the non-profit agency Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc., which will select the new homeowners. As chance would have it, the lot for this year's project abuts the site of the home constructed last year by Yale architecture
students in the First Year Building Project.
