Sharing cultures through performance
A delegation from Peking University is visiting institutes of higher education throughout the United States in order "to learn from American universities' successful experience, to discuss major issues in higher education, and to design joint strategies to promote the development and reform of higher education on an international level," according to President Zhihong Xu. During the delegation's stop at Yale, the Peking University Student Arts Performing Troupe entertained a overflow crowd at Sprague Hall on Feb. 5, offering a program that mixed modern and traditional dance, choral and orchestral works, and folk music.
