Yale Debate Association is enjoying a winning streak

The Yale Debate Association has won several tournaments recently.

The association won the Harvard, Princeton and New York University invitationals, the three most prestigious tournaments held by the American Parliamentary Debate Association. Yale also won the North American University Debating Championship, the first time Yale has won the North American title.

Two Yale debaters tied for the highest award for an individual competitor at the World Championships in Dublin. This was the first time an American has won the award since 1989 and the first time that two partners have tied.

Yale has now advanced 24 teams to elimination rounds at 23 Worlds Championships, more than any other American university.

The Yale Debate Association is one of the country's oldest undergraduate debating societies and one of the University's longest running organizations.
