Drama School hosting memorial for Richard Gilman
The School of Drama will hold a special memorial event celebrating the life of Richard Gilman, the distinguished critic, professor and author, who died on Oct. 28, 2006, at the age of 83.
The event will take place on Monday, March 26, at 1 p.m., at Symphony Space in New York City. The public is invited.
Gilman was the author of numerous award-winning books of dramatic and literary criticism. He served as drama critic for Commonweal and Newsweek magazines, and as a professor at the School of Drama from 1967 until 1998.

The Rose Center is one of the award-winning buildings featured in the AIA Connecticut 2006 Design Awards Traveling Exhibit.
The exhibit will be on display at the New Haven City Hall, 165 Church St., throughout March.
Located at 101 Ashmun St., the Rose Center is a 34,000-square-foot structure that houses the headquarters for Yale's police force as well as the Dixwell-Yale University Community Learning Center. The center features a computer-learning facility and space for public meetings and children's programs.
AIA Connecticut is the state chapter of the American Institute of Architects and the sole professional organization for architects in the state. Its 1,400 members include licensed architects, associate architects and professional affiliates. It is a resource for the architectural community and for the community at large.
