Yale will bring educational treasures to iTunesU
Yale will be inviting people from around the world to visit its campus,
virtually, and to enjoy excerpts from the University’s educational treasury when it launches the Yale on iTunesU website on Wednesday, Sept. 5.
Yale already enjoys a presence on the iTunes store with an official University
series that is searchable under
“podcasts.” These recordings will now be offered in the new Yale on iTunesU site
(http://itunes.yale.edu). Going forward, the Yale University series on the iTunes
Store will offer only the 20 most recent netcasts released by the University,
regardless of subject matter.
A dedicated area within the iTunes Store (www.itunes.com), iTunesU features
free content provided by U.S. colleges and universities.
The Yale on iTunesU site will offer recordings that range from faculty lectures
to interviews, performances, sports reports and more. The netcasts have been
arranged by subject into the following series: Yale University; Arts and
Architecture; Athletics; Books and Authors; Business and Management; Cancer
Center; Engineering and Technology; Environment; Health and Medicine;
Humanities; International; Law; Music; Religion; and Science.
Users can download episodes onto their device of choice with a single click, and
can subscribe to one or more series, ensuring that they will receive new
episodes as they are added.
