DeVita wins Freddie Special Award for Public Service
Dr. Vincent T. DeVita Jr., the Amy and Joseph Perella Professor of Medicine
at Yale Cancer Center, received a 2007 Freddie Special Award for Public Service
by MediMedia.
The award, which paid tribute to DeVita’s “global leadership in cancer
research and treatment,” was presented on Nov. 2 at the 33rd annual International
Health and Medical Media Awards in Philadelphia. The international event recognizes
outstanding excellence in documentaries, series, videos, DVDs, website and interative
programs that change people’s lives and encourage better understanding
and treatment of human diseases.
