Sophomore cornerback Paul Rice returned a fumble 55 yards during the Nov. 10 Yale-Princeton game that brought the Bulldogs to their 9-0 record. Next, the Elis will take on Harvard for the Ivy Crown.

Bulldogs, Crimsons both bringing
undefeated Ivy records to The Game

For the first time since 1968, the Yale and Harvard football teams will face off against each other for the annual ritual known as The Game with each boasting undefeated records in the Ivy League.

The Bulldogs are, in fact, entering their final game with a 6-0 record in the Ivy League and a 9-0 record overall — having reached that mark with a 27-6 win over the Princeton Tigers on Nov. 10. It is Yale’s first 9-0 season since 1960.

The Crimsons come to The Game with a 6-0 Ivy League record and a 7-2 season overall.

Since every other team has at least three losses in league play, that means the winner of The Game will have sole possession of the 2007 Ivy League Title.

The Game — now in its 124th year — will kick off at noon on Saturday, Nov. 17, in the Yale Bowl on Derby Avenue. As always, Yale employees can get free general admission seating for themselves and their immediate families with a valid I.D. Free parking is also available in Lot D on Central Avenue. Shuttle bus service will be available 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. from the Payne Whitney Gymnasium, 170 Tower Pkwy.

For other “Fan Information” about The Game, including where to follow the action if you cannot attend in person, visit the website at http://yalebulldogs.cstv.com/the_game.html.
