“The City,” an exhibition of paintings by New Haven resident Constance
LaPalombara, will be on view Dec. 6-March 5 in The Gallery at the Whitney, 53 Wall St. The show was originally scheduled for September but was postponed
due to construction delays at the Whitney Humanities Center. LaPalombara is a
landscape and still-life painter known for her city scenes of New Haven. The Yale exhibition
is free and open to the public 3-5 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays or by appointment at (203) 432-0670.
