Summer Worship Services

The Church of Christ in Yale University will hold summer services in Battell Chapel, corner of College and Elm street, at 10 a.m. on Sundays through Sept. 1, 11 a.m. services will resume Sept. 8. The church is an open and affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ; Sunday worship is conducted by the Church of Christ and the University Chaplain's Office. The service includes communion on the first Sunday of the month.

A church school for children meets Sundays at 10 a.m., and a crib room for infants and toddlers is available. A volunteer choir provides music throughout the summer. Information about rehearsals can be obtained by calling the Chaplain's Office at 432-1128.

A Bible study group meets over a potluck supper on Wednesday evenings, 5:45-7:15 p.m. in the Dwight Hall conference room, 67 High St. Discussion will center on the scriptural lessons for the coming Sunday. Other programs and activities will be announced throughout the summer.

Dwight Hall is wheelchair accessible. Battell Chapel is also wheelchair accessible -- through the High Street gate to the Old Campus or through Phelps Gate on College Street -- and is equipped with a supplementary sound system for the hearing impaired.
