International Rolex Award
At press time, it was learned that School of Medicine anesthesiologist Dr.
William H. Rosenblatt was named a winner of the 1996 International Rolex
Awards for Enterprise. He is one of only four individuals from around the
world selected for the award, which carries a $50,000 cash prize and honors
his project called REMEDY -- Recovered Medical Equipment for the Developing
World. He will discuss the project in a special session during the medical
school's Reunion Weekend on Saturday, June 8, at 9 a.m. in Rm. 203 of the Jane
Ellen Hope Building. More information on his award will appear in a
future issue of this newspaper.
