Seven faculty honored with election to AAAS

Seven faculty members from the School of Medicine have been elected as fellows of the American Associate for the Advancement of Science AAAS in recognition of their efforts toward advancing science or fostering applications that are deemed scientifically or socially distinguished.

Founded in 1848, the AAAS is the world's largest federation of scientists, with more than 144,000 members. The organization publishes the weekly, peer-reviewed journal Science. This year, 283 new fellows were elected nationwide.
