Plentiful food is what most comes to mind when we think of Thanksgiving, but the holiday is also a time that many people would like to be bounteous in their giving. The Yale Employees United Way Campaign provides that opportunity to help others in need.
As you prepare your feast, consider also the 400,000 members of our local communities -- including children who might otherwise experience daily hunger --who are helped by the United Way of Greater New Haven's 30 member agencies. Among the thousands who depend upon the services of these agencies are many of our own neighbors, who utilize programs offered by local visiting nurse associations, the Red Cross, the YMCA, or other organizations. Without our help, these agencies would be unable to assist others. If you have misplaced the donor form to make your contribution to the United Way, call Denise Castellano at 432-2313.
