Biologist Tilghman will visit Yale as Tetelman Fellow

Princeton University biologist Shirley M. Tilghman will visit Yale Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 29 and 30, as the Jonathan Edwards College Tetelman Fellow. She will make several presentations.

On Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. Ms. Tilghman, who is Princeton's Howard A. Prior Professor of the Life Sciences, will discuss "Genomic Imprinting and Mammalian Development: A Genetic Arms Race" in the Art Gallery lecture hall entrance on High Street . She will have lunch at Mory's earlier that day, at 12:30 p.m.; those interested in joining her should sign up at the Jonathan Edwards College master's office, 68 High St.

On Thursday at noon Professor Tilghman will discuss "Challenges, Prospects and Problems for Women in Science" in the Beaumont Room of the Sterling Hall of Medicine, 333 Cedar St. That afternoon, at 4 p.m., she will be the guest at a tea at the Jonathan Edwards College master's house.
