There will be a memorial service in celebration of the life of Dr. C. Elton Cahow, the William H. Carmalt Professor of Surgery and vice chair of the surgery department, who died on Jan. 9 at age 65.
The service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 23, in Battell Chapel, corner of Elm and College streets. A reception will follow at the Graduate Club, 155 Elm St.
Dr. Cahow was an international leader in laparoscopic surgery, who was also credited for advancing techniques in gastrointestinal procedures.
