Eight Chinese students will be visiting the campus as part of the Yale-New Asia College Undergraduate Conference. Now in its fifth year, the conference is an exchange program involving eight Yale College students and eight students from New Asia College at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong students are visiting New Haven for two weeks during their Chinese New Year break. While on campus, they will attend a program of lectures, discussions, panels and field trips organized by the Yale group.

The visiting scholars will also present their research papers during a symposium on "Sex and Gender," to be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2, in Rm. 203 of Luce Hall, 34 Hillhouse Ave.

The public is invited to attend the symposium, which will feature sessions on "Sexual Discrimination," "Mainland Concubines," "The Portrayal of Men and Women in Advertising" and "Parental Gender Preference for Children." Admission is free.
