The four members of the New Haven Board of Aldermen whose districts include Yale will talk with students about local issues at a "Meet the Alders Night" being held on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 8 p.m. in the Dwight Hall common room, 67 High St. The event is sponsored by the Yale College Democrats.
One of the board members who will be in attendance is himself a Yale student: Julio Gonzalez, a junior in Calhoun College, who represents Ward 1, which includes Old Campus and eight residential colleges (Timothy Dwight, Silliman, Calhoun, Berkeley, Trumbull, Saybrook, Branford and Jonathan Edwards).
Also in attendance will be Jelani Lawson '96 of Ward 2, which includes off-campus housing near Edgewood Avenue; Esther Armand of Ward 7, which includes Pierson and Davenport colleges; and Grace Gibbs of Ward 22, which includes Morse and Ezra Stiles colleges and part of the Dixwell neighborhood.
