Courses in Britain. Yale-in-London, a regular program of undergraduate courses offered by the University at the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art, held two summer sessions this year. Each featured two courses taught by visiting Yale professors and a leading British academic. The first, June 14-July 23, featured "British Art of the Georgian Era" led by Tate Collections curator Martin Postle, and "Poetry and the City," led by Professor Claude Rawson; the second, July 12-Aug. 20, featured "British Art and Culture, 1714-1753: The Rule of Taste," led by Professor Frank Salmon, and "Modern British Drama," led by Professor Joseph Roach. About 15 Yale students attended each session.
