The summer started with a picnic on the New Haven Green during the Ladysmith Black Mambazo concert and ended with a picnic outing to see "Richard III" at Edgerton Park. Other highlights included day trips to Newport, Boston and -- the annual favorite -- the Thimble Islands in Connecticut.

In addition to preparing for the arrival of more than 500 new international students during the summer months, the staff of the Office of International Students & Scholars (OISS) organized bus trips and other outings for members of the international community.
