Above: On campus, Yale researchers can get the equipment they need for their experiments custom-made at the Department of Chemistry's Glass Shop. Students can also learn to make their own research tools in the department's Student Machine Shop.
Below: Yale astronomers can view the stars first-hand at the University's own small observatory atop the Pierson-Sage Garage or remotely through such facilities as the Kitt Peak Observatory in Arizona one of the telescopes around the world that Yale shares with other universities.
