International Center dinner

The International Center of New Haven, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the international community at Yale and in the greater New Haven area, is presenting "Carnaval del Caribe," a dinner with a Caribbean theme on Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Omni Hotel, 155 Temple St. Proceeds from the event will be used to support the center's programs.

In addition to tropical food and beverages -- including jerked beef skewers, West Indian marinated breasts of chicken, guava tart desserts, and rum cocktails -- a silent auction for unusual and original items will be held. Dance music will be provided by Calypso Hurricane, a Boston band.

Tickets are $75 per person and include dinner, beverages and a chance to win a trip for two to the Caribbean. Tables of ten are available upon request. For more information, call 432-6460.
