Studio classes again to highlight
annual festival of arts and ideas

In June, while some local students are putting away their pencils and notebooks for the summer, others will expand their educational horizons in special studio classes presented by Yale instructors and others as part of the International Festival of Arts and Ideas.

The studio classes are a popular component of the annual celebration of creativity and thought, which this year will be held June 18-July 3. The courses immerse participants in a select topic for several days under the tutelage of a master teacher.

Most of the classes are scheduled for the morning, so participants can take advantage of the other activities of the International Festival of Arts and Ideas. Most are also limited in size, and enrollment is on a first-come basis (although some of the courses have pre-requirements set by the faculty). For further information or to enroll, call (203) 946-3816, or visit the festival's website at www.artidea.org.

A list of this year's Studio Classes follows. Unless otherwise noted, the fee for the courses is $250.
