Leffell to speak about surgery for skin cancer

Dr. David Leffell, chief of dermatologic surgery and cutaneous oncology at the School of Medicine, will lead the next discussion in the "Significant Issues in Health Care" series sponsored by the Yale-New Haven Hospital Auxiliary.

His talk, "Mohs Surgery, Newest Surgery for Skin Cancer," will take place on Thursday, May 20, noon-2 p.m. in the Grace Building lounge, 25 Park St. Leffell, who is also associate dean for clinical affairs at the medical school, has done extensive clinical research on wound healing, laser therapeutics and skin cancer epidemiology. He also studies the effectiveness of skin cancer screening. For information or to register, call 688-5717.
