Campus Notes

Dr. Ian Sussex, senior research scientist and lecturer in the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology, will be a guest speaker at a symposium titled "Genetically Modified Foods: Benefits and Risks" on Saturday, Feb. 17. The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Frank Loomis Palmer Science Theater at the Science Center of Eastern Connecticut, 33 Gallows Lane, New London. Registration is required. The Yale University Concert Band, under the direction of Tom Duffy, will perform at Derby High School, 8 Nutmeg Ave., on Thursday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. The concert will include a joint performance of the Sousa march "Fairest of the Fair," with the Derby High School Band. Admission is free.
