A two-day conference cosponsored by the Yale Center for Coastal and Watershed Systems at the School of Forestry & Environmental Studies will address the need for scientific knowledge to ensure ecologically healthy water levels in the state's rivers and streams.
The "Connecticut Instream Flow Conference" will take place March 23 and May 4 at Northeast Utilities in Berlin, and will bring together leading scientists, river advocacy groups, regulatory agencies, utilities and legislators. Both sessions, respectively subtitled "Water Conflicts in Connecticut: Balancing Needs" and "Working Toward a Connecticut Instream Flow Standard," will run 8:30 a.m.4:30 p.m. For more information, contact the center at (203) 432-3026.
