Upcoming events will feature the plays of Pulitzer Prize-winning Yale dramatist Donald Margulies

Two plays by Pulitzer Prize-winning dramatist Donald Margulies will be featured in upcoming weeks.

"The Model Apartment," an Obie Award-winning play, will be presented at the Long Wharf Theatre April 11­
May 13. Directed by Doug Hughes, the play features Elizabeth Franz as Lola, George Coe as Max, Roberta Wallach as Debby and Corey Parker Robinson as Neil. Curtain times are generally Tuesdays at 7 p.m., Wednesdays through Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 4 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets prices range from $15 to $45. Group discounts are available and a pay-what-you-can performance will take place on April 4. For more information, call (203) 787-4282.

A reading of "July 7, 1994" will be presented on Sunday, April 1. The 60-minute play, which focuses on one ordinary day in a female inner-city doctor's life, will be directed by Rebecca Bayla Taichman, a graduate of the Yale Drama School. Sponsored by the Hamden Arts Commission, the reading will take place at 2 p.m. in Thornton Wilder Hall, Miller Cultural Complex, 2901 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. An informal reception with Margulies will follow the reading. Admission is $5 for the general public and $4 for senior citizens and students; tickets will be sold at the door only.
