Junior Cara Denver pitched 16.1 innings in four end-of-season games, striking out 11 players and allowing only two earned runs. In the 5-0 victory over Central Connecticut, she tossed a two-hit shutout and struck out seven players. The Yale team finished its season 24-21 (7-7 Ivy).

Junior Craig Breslow (Trumbull, CT) struck out 11 and allowed eight hits in seven innings in the victory over Brown. Breslow led the pitching staff in wins (3) and ERA (2.61).

Seniors R.D. DeSantis (Dunedin, FL) and Luis Costa (Orlando, FL) each went 2-for-5 in the final game of their career. DeSantis finished with a team-best .336 batting average.

Yale is ranked first in the EARC lightweight national poll. Princeton was fourth and Harvard was fifth.

Junior Chris Eckerle (Indianapolis, IN) captured the New England individual title. He shot a 148 (72-76) to finish one stroke ahead of Dartmouth's Jero Esteve. Freshman Neel Williams (Monroe, LA) tied for fourth with a 152.

Yale had two players earn All-Ivy honors at the Ivy League Championships. Junior Jennifer Schriefer (Fort Wayne, IN) was third with a 155, and junior Sarah Seo (Lima, OH) placed fifth (157).

Five different players scored for the Bulldogs against Maryland, including senior Pat Hein (Washington, DC), who made his last appearance in a Yale uniform.

Head coach Meghan McMahon resigned on April 23, citing her responsibilities to her two young children. McMahon guided the Bulldogs to a 6-1 Ivy League record and a second-place finish, Yale's best in 12 years.

Junior Jeff Hobbs (Wilmington, DE) finished second in the 400 hurdles at the Yale Invitational with a time of 53.98.

The Bulldogs' top finish at the Yale Invitational came from Lindsay Mitchell (Woodland Park, CO), who placed seventh in the 3000 run with a time of 10:37.21.
