Junior Craig Breslow (Trumbull, CT) struck out 11 and allowed eight hits in seven innings in the victory over Brown. Breslow led the pitching staff in wins (3) and ERA (2.61).

Seniors R.D. DeSantis (Dunedin, FL) and Luis Costa (Orlando, FL) each went 2-for-5 in the final game of their career. DeSantis finished with a team-best .336 batting average.

Junior Chris Eckerle (Indianapolis, IN) captured the New England individual title. He shot a 148 (72-76) to finish one stroke ahead of Dartmouth's Jero Esteve. Freshman Neel Williams (Monroe, LA) tied for fourth with a 152.

In four games last week, junior Cara Denver (Vancouver, WA) pitched 16.1 innings, allowed only two earned runs, 11 hits and struck out 11. In the 5-0 victory over Central Connecticut, she tossed a two-hit shutout and struck out seven.

Head coach Meghan McMahon resigned on April 23, citing her responsibilities to her two young children. McMahon guided the Bulldogs to a 6-1 Ivy League record and a second-place finish, Yale's best in 12 years.

Junior Jeff Hobbs (Wilmington, DE) finished second in the 400 hurdles at the Yale Invitational with a time of 53.98.
