The Yale Figure Skating Club will begin its 2001-2002 season on Saturday, Sept. 22.
The club offers programs for skaters of all ages, levels and interests. Weekend sessions at Ingalls Rink include basic skills classes, beginner hockey classes, dance, moves-in-the-field, practice ice and freestyle. University Health Services will be conducting special measles, mumps and rubella clinics for incoming students in September.

The Yale University Women's Organization (YUWO) will host a wine- and cheese-tasting reception on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 5-7 p.m., at the President's House, 43 Hillhouse Ave.
New and prospective members of the organization are welcome to attend and sign up for activities. Membership is open to any woman who is associated with the Yale community through her own or her family's current or previous affiliation. Dues are $20 per year.
YUWO offers programs and activities such as study groups, book circles and discussion groups, "lunch & learn" lectures, social events and special interest groups. The organization also sponsors a scholarship program for members whose formal education has been interrupted or delayed.

The Art & Architecture Library will host tours and software instruction sessions this fall.

The library will offer the following instruction sessions: Searching Orbis on Tuesday, Sept. 11; Arts Resources Online on Thursday, Sept. 13; Architecture Resources Online on Tuesday, Sept. 18; Searching Orbis on Thursday, Sept. 20; Scanning and Using Photoshop on Tuesday, Oct. 2; Dreamweaver and HTML Editors on Tuesday, Oct. 9; Using Secure Shell FTP and the University Server on Tuesday, Oct. 16; and Endnote on Tuesday, Oct. 23. All sessions will begin at 5 p.m.

Lola Nash, a lecturer at the Child Study Center, will conduct a series of dialogues titled "Talking with Parents of Young Children (Ages Birth-5 Years)" this fall in the Beaumont Room at 333 Cedar St.
Each informal session will provide an opportunity to think about and discuss issues related to developmental growth, age appropriate expectations, day care, skills, play, social and cognitive development and emotional support.
Sessions will take place noon-1 p.m. on Wednesdays, Sept. 12, Oct. 10, Nov. 14 and Dec. 12. Dates and times for spring 2002 sessions, to be held on Central Campus, will be announced at a later date. The series is sponsored by the Office of the Provost, Yale Child Study Center, Office of Women in Medicine, McDougal Graduate Center and the Yale Early Childhood Education Program.

The Yale Camerata and Yale Pro Musica have announced two American premieres and a weeklong stay in London for the 2001-2002 season.
The Camerata will offer U.S. premieres of a Te Deum and a Gloria by Johann Gottlieb Naumann in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the composer's death. The chorus will also commemorate the 100th anniversary of Giuseppe Verdi's death with a performance of his "Laudi alla Vergine." Other composers featured in the new season will include Bach, Beethoven, Stravinsky and Gorecki.
The Yale Pro Musica, a 16-member chamber choir comprised of members of the Camerata, will travel to England for a week in April to sing Evensong sevices at St. Paul's Cathedral.
Auditions for both choruses will be held Sept. 4-10 at times and locations to be announced. Experienced singers interested in membership should call (203) 432-5180 to schedule an audition.
Auditions for Yale Glee Club and Yale Freshman Chorus will be held daily from Wednesday, September 5 through Tuesday, September 11.
