Getting the low-down on downtown

Visitors to the Elm City can learn about New Haven's many resources at the new downtown information center located at the corner of College and Chapel streets. The center is a joint venture of the Town Green Special Services District, the City of New Haven and Yale. University Properties donated the space rent-free, and staffing is provided by the Secretary's Office. Visitors may use the center to make dining and room reservations with participating companies. Pictured in the center are (from left) Kathy Slamp of Wichita, Kansas; Dana Slamp, who appeared in "Arms and the Man" at Long Wharf Theatre; Mark Abraham, a senior in Jonathan Edwards College; and Rebecca Ribera, project manager.
