Lewis Walpole Library

The Lewis Walpole Library, located at 154 Main St., Farmington, will host guided tours of the house and collections on Feb. 14 and May 30.

The tours will take place on the half hour from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.; the last tour will begin at 3:30 p.m. Refreshments will be available. Registration is not necessary. For more information, including directions, call (860) 677-2140.


Public Health diversity day

The School of Public Health will host a "Diversity Day Program" 9-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, in the Winslow Auditorium, 60 College St.

The program will provide an opportunity to learn more about public health; speak with students, alumni and faculty; learn about the free SAT and GRE practice test; and gain a perspective of the school experience. Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 9 a.m. The program will begin at 9:30 a.m. For more information, call (203) 785-2844.


Visitor Center relocates

The Visitor Center has returned to its former location at 149 Elm St.

The building underwent extensive renovations to the interior for the past year, including new wiring, plumbing, roofing, windows, heating and air conditioning. Exterior work included trim and siding repairs, landscaping and fencing. The center occupies the first floor and the Koerner Center for Emeritus Faculty is located on the second and third floors.

The Visitor Center offers free campus tours every weekday at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., as well as weekend tours at 1:30 p.m. The walking tours are led by Yale student guides. The center will also arrange special group tours upon request. For more information, call (203) 432-2300.
