'Jeopardy!' tests contestants'
knowledge of drama alumni

The March 3 episode of the TV game show "Jeopardy!" featured an entire category devoted to "Yale School of Drama Alumni."

The show, for the uninitiated, challenges contestants to respond -- in the form of questions -- to "answers" on the board, which are worth more prize money as they become more difficult. The category devoted to Yale's drama alumni was part of the "Double Jeopardy!" round.

To give our readers an opportunity to test their own knowledge, here are the answers the "Jeopardy!" contestants faced. Readers are reminded to pose their responses in the form of questions.

$200 -- Going to school at Yale got her into films like "Sophie's Choice."

$400 -- He had some "Happy Days" at Yale long before starring in "The Dinner Party" on Broadway in 2000.

$ 600 -- That her acceptance to Yale was addressed to a "Mr." was a bit "Alien."

$800 -- This "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" star attended Yale on scholarship.

$1000 -- In 2000, this Yale grad was TV's "Jag."

The answers, in order, are: Who is Meryl Streep? Who is Henry Winkler? Who is Sigourney Weaver? Who is Angela Bassett? And: Who is David Alan Grier?

The "Jeopardy!" contestants, incidentally, got all but the Angela Bassett and David Alan Grier questions correct.
