Fall book fair
The Phyllis Bodel Childcare Center at the School of Medicine will host its annual Fall Book Fair, Monday-Friday, Nov. 17-21, in the rotunda of the Sterling Hall of Medicine, 333 Cedar St.
The fair, which raises funds for the center, will be open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and will feature children's books, current bestsellers, cookbooks and self-help books. For more information, call (203) 785-3829.
The Yale University Women's Organization (YUWO) is offering scholarship awards to women whose education has been interrupted or delayed and who wish to resume their studies or enhance or change their careers.
Members of the Yale community and their family members are eligible for the awards. Current members of YUWO and their families are not eligible. Present staff members and wives of staff members will be given first consideration. Applicants will be judged upon merit and need.
Applications may be obtained by writing to Michaela Hauser-Wagner, 35 Hidden Place, Cheshire, CT 06410. Applicants should state their Yale affiliation and enclose a self-addressed, stamped, business-sized envelope. Completed applications must be postmarked by March 1. The Tango Club, a student group, will host a tango dance party on Saturday, Nov. 15, at Harkness Lounge, 367 Cedar Street.
A beginners' class will be taught by renowned tango dancer Luciana Valle at
8 p.m. Admission to the class is limited to Yale students only.
The party will begin at 9 p.m. Refreshments will be served at the event. Tickets are $10; admission is free with a Yale I.D. The event is sponsored by the Graduate and

The Child Conduct Clinic is currently accepting children between the ages of 2 and 13-1/2 who are displaying behavioral problems such as lying, disobeying parents, swearing, cheating, fighting, not getting along with others or getting into trouble at school. Conference Services is inviting staff members who plan meetings or arrange accommodations for Yale guests to attend the twelfth "Hotels of New Haven Holiday Luncheon and Tour" on Dec. 10.
Attendees will have the opportunity to see recent hotel renovations and upgrades, and learn more about the services the hotels offer University conference planners and guests.
Conference Services, the Greater New Haven Convention and Visitor's Bureau and Yale Travel Services will co-sponsor the event. It is funded by six local hotel properties.
