YUWO annual meeting

The annual meeting and luncheon of the Yale University Women's Organization (YUWO) will be held at noon on Wednesday, May 5, at the New Haven Country Club.

The guest speakers at the luncheon will be Gary Haller, the Becton Professor of Engineering and Applied Science and master of Jonathan Edwards College, and Sondra Haller, associate master of the college.

Also at the meeting, scholarships for continuing education will be awarded to women of the University community whose formal education has been interrupted or delayed, and who wish to enhance their present careers or change careers through additional education. The meeting is open to members of YUWO and their guests. For more information, call (203) 562-0482.


"May Music Day"

The Graduate School will sponsor "May Music Day," a family event on Saturday, May 8, at the Hall of Graduate Studies, 320 York St.

The event will take place 2-4 p.m. It will feature an educational concert by the Hartford Symphony, an "instrumental petting zoo," snacks and prizes. To register, send e-mail to mcdougal.center@yale.edu or call (203) 432-2583, indicating the ages of the children who will attend. The event is free and open to the public.
