Bloomsday reading

Calhoun College will host a reading of selections from the works of James Joyce in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the day depicted in "Ulysses."

The readings will take place in the master's house of Calhoun College, 434 College St., at 4:30 p.m. on June 16. Volunteers are sought to read passages of their choice that relate to Joyce's life or works. The event is free and open to the public. OISS potluck dinners

The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) will host two potluck dinners this summer.

The first dinner will take place on Sunday, June 20, prior to the concerts performed on the New Haven Green by Ladysmith Black Mambazo, the renowned Zulu vocal group, and Vusi Mahlasela, a South African soloist. The meal will begin at 7 p.m. Beverages will be provided. Attendees should look for the blue and white balloons. The performances, which are part of the Arts & Ideas New Haven festival, will begin at 8 p.m.

On Thursday, Aug. 26, a potluck picnic dinner will be held prior to a performance of "Richard III" by the Elm Shakespeare Company in Edgerton Park. A donation of $5 is suggested. Attendees should meet in front of the Hall of Graduate Studies, 320 York Street, at 6:30 p.m. The Yale shuttle will provide transportation to Edgerton Park. The play will begin at 8 p.m.

The Child Conduct Clinic is currently accepting children between the ages of 2 and 13-/2 who are displaying behavioral problems such as lying, disobeying parents, swearing, cheating, Þghting, not getting along with others or getting into trouble at school.
