Yale Art Gallery series continues with talk by ceramics artist
Ceramics artist Diana Chamberlain will display and speak about her work on Friday, July 23.
The second in a Yale Art Gallery series that brings artists and artisans to campus to discuss their work, the talk will take place 4-7 p.m. at the Museum Store, 46 High St. The event is free and open to the public, and select artworks will be available for purchase. For more information, call (203) 432-0228.
Chamberlain, whose porcelain creations explore the symbolism of dress and architecture, works out of her studio in Woodbury, Connecticut. Her artwork includes sculptural vessels in the form of apparel and buildings -- both of which, she states, "give us protection as well as a medium for self-expression."
Chamberlain's work is exhibited widely in Connecticut and New York.
