The University Library honored the Mellon Foundation Fellowship program and the Kress Foundation Fellowship program earlier this year at the Yale Club of New York City.
Alice Prochaska, University librarian, hosted the gathering that honored the foundations for their generosity and the accomplishments of the fellows. Representatives from the Kress Foundation, the Mellon Foundation and the University Library congregated at the Yale Club on April 19.
The Andrew W. Mellon Special Collections Humanities Postdoctoral Fellowship is designed to promote the development of young humanities scholars, grounded in the use of the vast resources of special collections held in the University Library, while at the same time expanding visibility and use of Yale's collections.
The Kress Foundation Fellowship seeks to develop future leaders in art librarianship and the archiving and curating of visual resources.
