Volunteers sought
Bright Beginnings, a parenting support program sponsored by Yale-New Haven Hospital, is seeking volunteers to link up with new families who receive their prenatal care at the Women's Center.
The program is especially in need of bilingual (English/Spanish) volunteers but all interested women should apply. Each mentor directly supports one young mother in developing solid parenting skills and a healthy lifestyle for herself and her infant. Volunteers receive training and ongoing support.
The next training session will be held 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17. For more information, call (203) 688-2297.
