Open Enrollment for employee benefits
will be available online Oct. 18-Nov. 16

Yale staff and faculty will soon receive an e-mail message with information regarding the online process for the 2005 Annual Open Enrollment.

Open Enrollment is employees' annual opportunity to review their benefits coverage and make new elections, if desired, for the upcoming calendar year.

This year's Open Enrollment period will be Oct. 18-Nov. 16. During this time, employees can access their personal benefit elections online by logging onto the Employee Self-Service website at www.yale.edu/benefits. There, they will find their employee benefits statement, which shows detailed information regarding the benefits they have chosen and the value of those benefits for the current calendar year.

In addition, the annual enrollment for Flexible Spending Accounts for eligible healthcare or dependent care expenses will be available online through Dec. 17.

To assist employees in evaluating their 2005 benefits, two Benefits Open Enrollment Information Sessions have been scheduled. At these sessions, staff and faculty can meet with counselors from the Benefits Office, along with representatives from each of the medical, dental and flexible spending account plans. The sessions will be held on the following dates and locations:

Medical Campus -- Wednesday, Oct. 20, 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Edward S. Harkness Memorial Hall lounge, 367 Cedar St.

Central/Science Campuses -- Thursday, Oct. 21, 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Human Resources, lobby, 155 Whitney Ave.

Those with questions or concerns should contact the Benefits Office at benefits.office@yale.edu.
