Kleiner to discuss her new book on Cleopatra
Diana Kleiner, the Dunham Professor of the History of Art and Classics, will discuss her new book, "Cleopatra and Rome," on Thursday, Dec. 1, at 5 p.m.
The book describes how iconic episodes in Cleopatra's life, absorbed into a larger historical and political narrative, document a momentous cultural shift from the Hellenistic world to the Roman Empire.

Jill Cutler, assistant dean of Yale College, will discuss her new book with her co-authors on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m.
"In the Name of Democracy: American War Crimes in Iraq and Beyond," written with Jeremy Brecher and Brendan Smith, examines the legality of the Iraq war and the occupation that followed.

The Quinnipiac-Yale Dispute Resolution Workshop will host Dwight Golann of the Suffolk University Law School on Friday, Dec. 2.
Golann will speak on "Spin, Counter-Spin: Some Practical and Ethical Issues in How Commercial Mediators and Litigators Interact" at noon in the Quinnipiac School of Law faculty commons, 275 Mount Carmel Ave. in Hamden. Luncheon will be provided.
