Open Studios at School of Art
The School of Art will host "Open Studios" 2-6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, May 6 and 7.
The event will feature projects of students in the departments of painting, sculpture and photography. Open studios for painting and photography students will take place at Holcombe Green Hall, 1156 Chapel St. Studios for sculpture students will be held at Hammond Hall, 14 Mansfield St.
A shuttle bus at the New Haven train station will make a loop from the station to Green and Hammond halls and will reloop to take visitors back to the train station.

Spring book fair
The Phyllis Bodel Childcare Center at the School of Medicine will host its annual spring book fair to raise funds for the center.
The event will take place Monday-Friday, May 8-12, in the rotunda of the Sterling Hall of Medicine, 333 Cedar St. The fair will be open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and will feature children's books, current bestsellers, cookbooks and self-help books. For more information, call (203) 785-3829.
