700 new welcome mats ... and counting
President Richard C. Levin recently visited the home of Annette Tracy, who works at the reception desk of the Berkeley College dining hall. Tracy purchased the single-family house in Homes at Monterey, a new residential development in the Dixwell neighborhood, with assistance from the Yale Homebuyer Program -- making her the 700th participant in the initiative. The program provides $25,000 towards the purchase of a home in designated city neighborhoods. Yale has committed over $16 million toward home purchases. Information about the Yale Homebuyer Program is available at www.yale.edu/hronline/hbuyer/index2.htm.
