Walk to benefit AIDS campaign
AIDS Walk New Haven will begin and end on the New Haven Green on Sunday, April 22.
The walk will start at 2 p.m. AIDS Walk New Haven is a 5K walk to raise funds to provide support services to individuals and families infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in the greater New Haven community.
Other goals of the event are to increase public awareness, promote prevention through advocacy and "unite the Yale-New Haven community against discrimination, apathy and infection."
Registration is $10. Individuals may register on the New Haven Green at 1 p.m. on the day of the walk or online at www.aidswalknewhaven.org.
The Phyllis Bodel Childcare Center at the School of Medicine will hold its annual silent auction on Thursday, April 26, to raise scholarship funds.
The auction will take place 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Harkness Lounge at 367 Cedar St. Items in the auction will include signed books and sports memorabilia; tickets to theaters, restaurants and spas; jewelry and specialty baskets.

The Department of Mathematics will award the Barge and Runk Prizes on the basis of a competitive exam that is open to sophomores and freshmen.
The exam will be given 9 a.m.-noon on Tuesday, May 1, in Rm. 201, Leet Oliver Memorial Hall, 12 Hillhouse Ave. Students interested in taking the exam should sign up with Bernadette Alston-Facey in Rm. 438, Dunham Laboratory, 10 Hillhouse Ave.
In addition, undergraduates majoring in mathematics who wish to pursue their studies during the summer are eligible to compete for the John Alan Lewis Prize. A letter describing plans for summer study should be submitted to Professor Yair Minsky, director of undergraduate studies in mathematics, before Tuesday, May 1.

Members of the Yale Art Museums will sponsor a bus trip to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston on Wednesday, June 27.
The trip will include a private tour of "Edward Hopper," a special exhibition of the artist's oil paintings, watercolors and prints from 1925 to mid-century. The bus will leave at 8 a.m. and return to New Haven by 6:30 p.m.
The fee for the trip is $95 for members; $145 for non-members. The amount covers admission, private tour and transportation; lunch is not included.
